Klaus Cafe now a Billingsley Affair
PLURALISM - REASONABLE?
Just an update for those who were looking forward to the much anticipated Klaus Cafe. Due to miscommunication on my part we will have to postpone our close readings of the critique of practical reason to some later date. But, we do have the next best thing for this Thursday at 2:30. Our own James Billingsley is giving a talk over at UBC this Saturday and we thought we should get him to present it to us first! The paper and powerpoint are on reasonable pluralism in ontology. There will still be donuts and cookies and the sort (stolen from the Club Days table no doubt) and fresh coffee on the brew. It should be a lot of fun and a great deal of help to give feedback to James before he takes a boat over to the mainland to duke it out with other philosophical heavy-weights. Reminder: the cafe’s start, at least, in CLE B325 - for those of you who haven’t been around that neck of the woods, its right across from the Philosophy Office. We may move to the seminar room, CLE B315 just in case James wants to break out those powerpoint techniques he learned from the University of London.
Best,
Mike.
